Your accommodation is right on the course itself. Ride the 28-mile loop with us once or twice. Scope the cliff-hugging coast path from Start Point to the race turn-around at Prawle Point. Swim Blackpool Sands bay end to end a couple of times.
We provide kayak cover to ensure your safety whilst swimming a loop or two of the 2021 course in Blackpool Sands Bay. We video your wetsuit/racing stroke from the surface and underwater to help improve your open water technique. As we say: "You Can't WIN a Triathlon in the Swim but You Sure Can LOSE one."
Back at your accommodation in Ash House we have a gorgeous 15m x 4.5m x 1.4m heated pool to video the finer points of your stroke and help you become more efficient.
We are investing in an Endless Pool High Performance "Engine" for even better videos giving more detailed stroke feedback.
Not sure about your bike fit? We can fix it. It is critical to get your position right. The longer the ride, the worse your discomfort grows from a bad or poorly fitted riding position. 180km can never be totally comfortable. A bad bike fit makes it 100% worse. At best it could compromise your race result, at worst cause your DNF.
Detailed treadmill-based video analysis of your gait and running biomechanics could help stave off an injury down the line. A significant proportion of runners become injuired or struggle to recover from running-related injuries. Of the three components of a triathlon running is by far the most likly to cause you injury.

Our strength and conditioning programme will not make you into a body-builder but it will help keep you injury free whilst performing at your physical limit.
By knowing what your physical parameters are, such as your Functional Threshold Power and maximum power per kilo, you can train scientifically to achieve the best outcome in a given span of training time.

Come to try an alternative cross-training approach, and understand just what it is that makes the Royal Marines the ultimate amphibious force on the planet. Your training session guided by our ex-marine colleagues will also help support the RMA charity.
You are going to love this cross-training workout. The shoulders arms and core worked by the kayak develop your swim strength. Only from the kayak can we access secret parts of our coast and secluded private coves.
